site mascot Epimetheus --
god of afterthought, father of excuses -- to Pandora. A preemptive hindstrike could have saved the world

Welcome To
PREEMPTIVE HINDSIGHT!
This blog is dedicated
to the proposition that
we really don't have to
get fooled again...
or at least not every
damned time. The past
is there for us to shake our
heads over -- and take some
yes-they-can-be-taught!
tips from.
There's no ideological immunity here:
I think thinking you can shtup the intern in the Oval Office when Ken Starr is sniffing your boxers is as silly as invading Iraq because of 9/11-- make that WMD-- make that democracy-- make it anything but oil!
Of course, only one of those decisions is getting tens of thousands of people killed and wasting hundreds of billions of dollars, but both have interesting historical precedents...
All best, HistoryBuff (William Craig)
